New Scrum Machine for Northern Suburbs Rugby Union Club

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker I congratulate the Northern Suburbs Rugby Union Club for their successful application to secure funds through the Community Building Partnership program 2021. This funding will assist the club in purchasing a brand new scrum machine. The Norths are a fantastic club full of camaraderie amongst members and players and put teams on the field in Colts, Grade, Sirens 7's and Juniors. The scrum machine will improve the training, safety and performance of players in their games. The northern suburbs rugby club was formed in 1900 following a merger between the Pirates and Wallaroos clubs and has a rich history. I am excited to see Norths get back into action shortly with training and games following the recent lockdown. Congratulations again to Chairman Grahame O'Donnell, General Manager Jack Burey and the Northern Suburbs Rugby Union Club for securing the well-deserved funds for the new scrum machine. I wish the club all the very best with their pre-season training and next seasons competition.
