I acknowledge the President of Middle Harbour 16 Ft Skiff Club, Peter Tinworth, or "Tinny", who was recently awarded an honorary life membership by fellow club members at the club's recent annual general meeting. I congratulate Peter on that remarkable achievement. The club stated:

This award is bestowed only to those who have made the most significant contribution to the club.

That could not be more true of Peter, who has been involved with the club for many years through various roles, including as junior president, board member, race officer, skiff sponsor, association representative and, of course, club president. I have worked with Peter on and off over the years. It has been a great pleasure. He is very good at advocating for the club's needs. I have enjoyed many events at the wonderful club. I congratulate Peter. It is much‑deserved recognition for his hard work. He has given much to the local community and to sailing. I look forward to seeing what is next for the club and I wish Peter all the very best in his continued strong leadership.
