Shore Student Competes in Winter Youth Olympics

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—Speaker, I recognise the outstanding achievements of Shore student Duncan Cowan who was selected to represent Australia at Gangwon's 2024 Winter Youth Olympics. While many students were enjoying their summer break, Year 12 student Duncan set off for South Korea for the multi-sport event, cultural event, and fourth edition of the Winter Youth Olympics. Duncan proudly represented Team Australia as Flag Beaer at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics which is an immense honour and something that I am sure Duncan will remember for the rest of his life. Duncan went on to compete in the Men's Ski Cross event, and places him among a select few Shore boys who have risen to hold the mantle of Olympian. Congratulations Duncan on this outstanding achievement, and I know we can expect great things from you in your future thanks to your commitment, skill and dedication. Good luck.
