Mudgee Wine Festival Returns

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore)

—After a 3-year hiatus Balmoral was once again awash with fine food and wine from the beautiful country region of Mudgee. The Mudgee Wine Festival took place on Sunday 13th August after significant delays caused by COVID. As always, this event is a great opportunity for regional wine producers and sellers to gain exposure, but also for locals and Sydney siders to sample the very best that regional New South Wales has to offer. Mudgee has a strong viticultural history and has a reputation for producing high-quality and well-respected wines. The festival was also a great social event for locals, with wine-tasting provided upon entry with free tumblers, along with special activities such as face-painting and an art space for kids to get involved. Balmoral always provides a magnificent backdrop for events such as the Mudgee Wine Festival, and I know that many locals and Sydneysiders alike enjoyed the gorgeous vistas that Balmoral is renowned for. A special thank you to the Mudgee Wine Association and Mosman Council for ensuring that this event was such a success, I am sure that everyone is looking forward to seeing it return to Balmoral again next year.
