North Shore Youth Mental Health Roundtable
Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (16:24:02):
This morning I welcomed student leaders from local schools in my community to Parliament to take part in the annual North Shore Youth Mental Health Roundtable. I host the forum each year with local schools. This year we brought them into the Parliament to shake things up, with the aim of raising awareness about mental health among local teenagers and discussing ways to equip young people with the tools they need to live happy, positive and fulfilling lives, as well as helping them to develop projects with experts that can be implemented at school to enhance student wellbeing. I give a special thank you to Sybilla Delaney and Alice Austin from Loreto Kirribilli, Sienna Gasparre from Wenona School, Mia Yule and Jessica Cronin from Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College, Minh-Tam Dinh and Jerry Yuan from North Sydney Boys High School, Orlando Tribe Aviles and Salma Catanho Martinez from Mosman High School, Chloe Pang and Triyah Radhakrishnan from North Sydney Girls High School, Zoe Bragg and Chloe Hogan from Cammeraygal High School, and Nicholas Gong and Charlie Corbett-Jones from Shore School. I also thank Dr Suzy Green from The Positivity Institute, Matt Purcell from Social Kung Fu and Michaela Young from Burn Bright for all their assistance with the future of these young people.
