Crows Nest Festival

Ms FELICITY WILSON (North Shore) (16:30:12):

Last Sunday thousands of locals joined together to enjoy a beautiful Sydney spring day at the much-loved annual Crows Nest Festival. With more than 150 stalls to choose from, including my own, there is always something fun for the family to enjoy, whether it is taking in some culinary delights down the food alley, letting the kids go wild at the petting zoo, or enjoying one of the many musical performances or boutique marquees on offer. Personally, I love the fire displays by the local firies. I joined in the fun again this year, as I always do. Holding a stall is a great way to interact with my local constituents. There is always plenty of conversation as they raise local issues or concerns with me. Excitingly, this year I was just next door to the Sydney Metro marquee, which is coming to Crows Nest and Victoria Cross in North Sydney very soon. I was also near the police and firies. Lots of kids enjoyed climbing in and out of the fire truck and the police car. I acknowledge the incredible work of Crows Nest Mainstreet, which is the owner and organiser of the festival. It takes an incredible amount of work to get these events just right, and it was another terrific day enjoyed by all. I thank the Crows Nest community.
